All I ask is that you keep it civil. I welcome all musical opinions no matter how they differ from mine, including comments on the artists themselves. If you attack me personally, become hateful and trollish, I will delete your comments. In a heartbeat.Blueberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17357299403457746440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12694343.post-32638951572592900962007-06-17T09:21:00.000-05:002007-06-17T09:21:00.000-05:00OK OK, ya'll are welcome to throw a few rocks. We ...OK OK, ya'll are welcome to throw a few rocks. We just don't "get" her. It's not a crime. We don't all have to have the same musical preferences. I'm used to people thinking I'm weird for some of my choices. I don't "get" Polyphonic Spree either, and I don't care for some of the music that Bob Dylan has been doing for a few years (love the early Bob though), and not a fan of Bob Schneider. On the other hand, I love bluegrass and honkytonk and swing jazz and Hank Williams and George Jones and Calexico and Del Castillo and Grupo Fantasma and Chris Thile and Eric Johnson and Eric Clapton and Lucinda Williams and lots and lots more, too many too count, but there are always people that you and I both will take a pass on. So blast away. It's a matter of taste and preference and that's the last word on what's good and what isn't. I have no control over my husband's opinion about the chest area. I don't pay attention to that stuff.Blueberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17357299403457746440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12694343.post-86558990971056563402007-06-17T08:21:00.000-05:002007-06-17T08:21:00.000-05:00Tift Merritt appeared on ACL because she's awesome...Tift Merritt appeared on ACL because she's awesome, not because she's sexy. She IS sexy, and can't help it, and there's nothing wrong with it, or with enjoying it, but she has consistently refused to exploit that to the extent to which she has been encouraged at times to do so. I know Tift, and she would have to have suffered a severe blow to the head to think of padding her bra. I fully endorse my friend's decision to let her career stand on her art rather than her looks, and I'm glad that she's at least received the critical, if not the commercial, success that is her due.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12694343.post-13282715535297546092007-06-16T23:34:00.000-05:002007-06-16T23:34:00.000-05:00Hi,I would like to comment about what wrote about ...Hi,

I would like to comment about what wrote about Tift Merritt. I think she is one of the best singer/songwriters in the world, and it's no mistake that she was nominated for a Grammy.

For your comments, I am forced to wage unholy jihad against you.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02369202340973972164noreply@blogger.com
