Some people think that black cats are bad luck, and sometimes black cats just HAVE bad luck. Jax here has had plenty of that, but he's very aware that his luck has changed for the better in the last couple of years since he was rescued.
Maybe that's why he's trying to look like
Maneki Neko, the Japanese "Lucky Cat". I think he's doing a good job. What do you think?

I know it well....the life of the pampered rescued cat. Sometimes they actually show that they know how lucky they are...sometimes they don't. I guess that is what loving cats is all about!
I love this photo of Jax. Sometimes it is hard to believe how RELAXED a cat can get.
Jax
You ARE a lucky kitty! So nice to have a home where there is such love. All of us rescue kitties are truly 'lucky' cats!
Jax is very happy and grateful to be indoors. He purrs when the rain hits the window or the wind howls. He knows what it's like to live out in that. And he is finally realizing that he's safe from dogs (he's really afraid of dogs and used to freak out when he'd hear them barking through the window).
He does look like a lucky kitty! Some of my older adoptees have been grateful for a new home. The present ones like to pretend I'm the one who should be grateful.
