Woman faces fines for wreath peace sign [LINK]
DENVER - A homeowners association in southwestern Colorado has threatened to fine a resident $25 a day until she removes a Christmas wreath with a peace sign that some say is an anti-Iraq war protest or a symbol of Satan.
Some residents who have complained have children serving in Iraq, said Bob Kearns, president of the Loma Linda Homeowners Association in Pagosa Springs. He said some residents have also believed it was a symbol of Satan. Three or four residents complained, he said.
Well, if that doesn't make you go Ho Ho Ho...
Soooo, these people somehow think that a symbol of peace somehow conflicts with the so-called goals in the Iraq war... I mean, how dare someone wish for peace when their children are fighting! The nerve of some people! And now I'm wondering which churches are teaching their sheeple that the peace symbol is a sign of Satan. I'm also wondering if they screen the neighborhood Halloween decorations with the same guidelines... when there actually are decorations out that could be considered affiliated with "evil".
The article goes on to say "Kearns ordered the committee to require Jensen to remove the wreath, but members refused after concluding that it was merely a seasonal symbol that didn't say anything. Kearns fired all five committee members."

News Update:
"We want to let you know that this evening we just received a letter from the Loma Linda Home Owners Board of Directors stating: We had a misunderstanding with your Christmas decoration and for that we apologize. We withdraw any and all previous requests for removal of your decoration," homeowner Lisa Jensen told The Associated Press."
Too funny! I guess the Loma Linda HOA didn't like all of the negative press!!
Good Gawd, and Jesus Katie Christ on a popsicle stick. The people in that neighborhood must have their anuses clenched so tightly that oxygen is in short supply.
Glad they decided to come to their senses about it. As far as bad press goes, I think it's too late to fix that one.
Peace, everyone.
I mean that in a non-evil, anti-satanic way.
Peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace.
That ought to "peace" them off real good, dontcha think?

People have their knickers in a bunch because there are 400 crosses on a hillside as a memorial for soldiers who have died in Iraq.
I live on a hillside with the living room window at the rear, downhill side. I've considered getting three lights to decorate it, the word for peace in Hebrew, in Arabic, and in Latin (pax).
