Tall Texans

It's sunflower time again! We seem to get some of the tallest sunflowers around! Some of these must be 10 feet tall. It's not like last year when we let them grow into a jungle. Pretty though, even if lack of rain seems to have postponed a few blooms.
There was just enough rain to wet the lips of this poor parched land-carp.

Is the landcarp one of your garage sale finds? I really like the way you decorate your beautiful gardens with these unique items - I hope to do something like that myself when I have more time!

Glad Mr. Blueberry has the time for the yard. I sure don't. The landcarp was picked up up somewhere for cheap. It used to be all in one piece, but has been knocked over so many times by big birds, it finally broke. :-(
