The City Council and the Mayor of Austin have taken a stand against Arizona's Papers-Please law by not doing business with the state. Hitting them where it hurts (in the wallet) is the only thing that may have any kind of persuasive effect for people who support this un-American abomination.

I heard on the news that several other states are considering similar legislation as Arizona. I take it that Texas is not one of them?
Our governor, surprisingly, spoke out against it, but it has been suggested by the someone in the state legislature. Hope it doesn't go any further than that.
Just wanted Austin too know that my friends and I have changed our vacation plans for Austin area and will go to Arizona might even get to shake the hands of some real American Patriots.
PS: Please pubilsh any elected people that support this we all vote to.

If you prefer the company of conservatives, you should have made plans to visit Arizona instead of Austin anyway. Austin is a pretty liberal place. The Mayor and every member of the City Council are Democrats, and many are *liberal* Democrats, including the Mayor... that should tell you something about our political makeup.
