Which of these things is more frightening?

A.
Scientists are being urged to come up with ways of deflecting sunlight on the earth, possibly with smoke and mirrors... giant space mirrors... as a last-ditch effort toward saving our sorry species (along with a great number of other species on the planet)

B.
A Nielson survey conducted globally indicates that 13% of US citizens have never even heard of global warming.

Global climate change is going to be the big, big issue for the planet, in my opinion.

Places like australia are already feeling the effects with nationwide droughts and a shrinking water supply.

OK. That B question freaked me out. How can that be????
These 13% have got to be below-surface dwellers. There simply is NO other answer to explain it.

OB: do you ever watch Jay Leno's "Jaywalking"? It proves how amazingly uninformed people are, it's hilarious.

BB: We've got some of those problems too: Texas, California, etc., but people refuse to conserve until it gets dangerously low. They think they can just pray for rain and it'll come.

To be honest - I was surprised by the low percentage. Wouldn't be shocked if it was more than 13%, especially after you've seen some of the "Jay Walking" wonders in action...
Sad. Sad and scary.

Nice solution, ignore emissions and put sunglasses on the sun. Arrrggghghgh!

Diverting the sun's rays is going to bring up a lot more issues than they've even considered! It provides more than just heat. Seems like an amazingly crazy idea to me.
