SXSW, a fond memory (where are my notes?)

Sorry no post since Thursday (and haven't been visiting around the blogosphere as much as I like) but we have been just a TAD busy with this little music festival. Much more laid-back for us this year, intentionally. We generally started out around noon each day and got home between 10:00 pm and midnight. I am sorting out all the pictures and will do my big writeup on my regular website, SXSW being the exception to the rule that this blog is more chatty than the website. The link will be either here or in the comments as soon as I can get the stuff posted. Above is one of the best shirts I saw all week! (if it's hard to read, it says "I'M WITH THE BAND")

EDIT: I have the journals posted on my website here, if you want the whole massacree with the 8x10s with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one (explaining what each one is). At the moment, it's the second link down on the left sidebar.

Do you have that odd, wistful, we-waited-all-year-and-now-it's-over feeling? Happy recovering, and can't wait to read the stories!

He's with the band and the band either eats too many donuts or gives him too many donuts.

(As if I can talk..

Goes into Homer impersonation and drools on t-shirt.)

It's part of the backstage rider contract that there be donuts, but only with white sprinkles on chocolate glaze. No pink sprinkles. And all kibbles. No bits.

Reminds me, I was buying cat food today and saw a little can of dog dessert -- I think it was cherry cobbler -- for dogs. Very weird concept.

I will check out your summary. I'm so glad SXSW is an Austin thing. I cannot IMAGINE it being anywhere else, yes?

I linked here from another blog and was really struck by your profile description.

Then I saw Austin and it all made sense. Good for you.

You also had quite a festival this past week. My local radio station from Martha's Vinyard sent a representative and I got to hear lots of interviews and music from Austin.

See you around

midnight, looks like you've got yourself a good radio station there.

We went to Martha's Vineyard a few years back. Went to see Peter Frampton in a little club that was owned by Carly Simon I believe. Awesome show!

LOVE Austin and SXSW!!
Glad to see the traffic lighten up when it's over.

We traded the SXSW visitors for the folks who left town for Spring Break! AAAACK! So now more traffic at 7:00 a.m. and less at midnight. :-)
