Friday Cat - The Results Are In

It has been scientifically proven that kitty-cats prefer big fluffy piles of freshly washed folded quilts on a pedestal over the other less appealing choice of a cold craggy rock.

Cats just love clean things. My cat's favorite spot is on an old bedspread that I donated to him. Each time I wash, dry and fold it for him, he rubs all over it as if to say, thanks, I love the smell of fresh linens in the morning.

What a sweet face your little kitty has. Very gentle looking little creature. Unlike my own cat who is a wanna be wild cat at the most unusual times.

Henry (pictured) is our perfect cat. Made out of 100% sweetness. Cats are so weird. They like really stinky things or stuff that's freshly laundered. Maybe they think that soap and fabric softener is stinky. ;-)

We took our cat, Fred the Cat, in off the street. When we first brought him inside we couldn't pick him up because he would try like hell to bite us. I think someone in his other life had abused him. It took a few months before he understood that when we picked him up we meant him no harm. Now for the most part he really is a "pussy cat". However he can get a strange look in his eyes at times. Maybe he's thinking back to when he lived in cat hell. He's knows he has it made these days, cause he does.

Henry spent some time on the street too, in fact it was February in St. Louis when he came to us, just a kitten but already with injuries from icy feet and who knows what. He was never afraid of people who were nice to him. Such a sweetie. When he's not snuggled up next to you on the couch, he's usually snoring.

It's uncanny how my cat knows when I have taken clothes out of the dryer. As soon as my back is turned, she's in the basket with the nice clean clothes.
