3rd time is the charm

I've posted a couple of these before, but this is the political quiz I've been looking for. It's put together by Libertarians, and before all this technology came along it would be handed out to people on a little wallet-sized card. I found the link on J-Walk's blog.

The political description that fits you best is...

LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

Well jinkies. I've always thought of myself as a liberal, but...
The political description that
fits you best is...

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

well there's food for thought...

oh yeah. And I sooo hope the Kinkster becomes G'vnur of Tejas.

Crikey -- a literate feller who can sing in key? Ethnic Diversity? Actually gives two hoots and more than a hollar for the state he was born and raised in?

Far as I can see the only strike against him is that he's too intelligent and might care too deeply for the constituency.

Which for any state government would be a first in itself.

ohhh. guess I am a Libertarian.

I've taken 2 other quizzes lately, and have been judged as a Libertarian and a Socialist! Liberal was an option on both of them. I didn't agree with the results of those though. I posted on it.

Kinky is definitely popular in Austin. I doubt that he's got much of a chance to do anything beyong splitting the non-Republican vote though. He would make declawing a cat illegal. I love that!! I would love to see him get elected but I don't see any pigs flying.
